I like asking the question, "“What’s important about. . . ?” Recently I tried a version of this with my 18-year-old sister, who all of a sudden wants to become a professional model. I asked her, "Why do you want to be a model? What would that do for you?" "It would give me confidence to be who I am," she said. I was thinking her answer was almost backwards.... one needs to have confidence before one can become a successful model, otherwise you'd just crumble in front of photographers, no? But her answer gave me a major insight on what's important to her. Interesting post. I like asking the question, ““What’s important about. . . ?”
